The fact that they are self-policed makes the protocols about as effective as a FIFA corruption investigation. There needs to be an independent doctor on point.

Still, you have to feel for the goalkeeper - if you watch closely you can see him explaining to his medical staff that this was the biggest basketball match of his career.

Rugby has much better rules about head injuries. Any clash = HIA. No discussion.

They have a "free" sub for concussion, they should have pulled the keeper much earlier. Best part of 10 minutes wasted.

Also FIFA ought to have a neutral concussion doctor to make the call. Feel sorry for the player, of course he wants to continue, but he clearly was totally dazed.

Who are you referring to? You can be an England fan and still criticise some aspects. For example, I can't stand Southgate but still want England to win..
