Terry Butcher's comments on the BBC feed are magnificent:
"The shape of England's team now looks ragged while Germany look very, very dangerous. Aidy Boothroyd is saying to Jordan Pickford to calm it down. England need to re-group and string six or seven passes together. They don't want to go 2-0 down otherwise it will be game over."

a few seconds later:

"GOAL ENGLAND"

and then:

"Good start by Germany. They have got a vice-like grip on this game right now. It shows how much Germany are on top when Yannick Gerhardt, the left-back, is able to get forward so much."

seconds later:

"GOAL England"

Lovely stuff.

Hughes does well when up against kids but in first team games doesn't seem to have the strength required. Only a bit part player for Derby, will be interested to see how he gets on at Watford.

Keep it up Terry, we need a third goal, to be sure.

Isn't it great that these are the sort of players we could and should be looking at to bring in this season.

It's a little bit disappointing that our sole tactic after going 2-1 up appears to be park the bus and on the rare occasion we get the ball lump it forward.

Hughes looks very good when he has the ball in their half, not so good when the ball is in ours.

Edit: In a reverse Terry Butcher move, seconds after making this post germany equalise.

Lets see if we'll be more adventurous now...

Terry Butcher's "banter" is truly woeful - he keeps on making comments which are presumably meant to be funny but just aren't.

For example, the commentator told a story of a friend who went out for a pint of milk during the 13-12 U21 penalty shoot-out vs Holland intending to listen in his car but the shoot-out took so long that he had to sit in his car for 45 mins and his wife wondered where he was. Terry's comment: "Did he come back with cream?" What??!
