Maguire puts in a great header to the corner, saved by the player specifically there for that. Maguire could've done no more. Zzzzz Tyldesley said he should have scored.

I’d play Rashford, Ali & Sterling in a 3 behind Kane with Henderson further back holding the midfield ahead of a rear 3 plus wing backs.

Stones passed to a Costa Rican who should've gone in on goal. Stones mistakes would cost us against a better team.

Allows us to get more creative players into the team for the first two games.
Not watched England in years.....watching this rubbish....some points:
We got no centre midfield.......defence and attack ok - premier league standard.
We go no fluidity - don't look like a team.
Why is he playing debutants in the final game before a WC? He's had years to get a team together.
If we get to 2nd round it will be good.

He’s playing one holding, two in front of that player, and then one behind a front man. For me it’s Henderson holding, Alli and Sterling in from of him, and Rashford behind Kane

England rested most of the likely first 11 tonight.
Agree about midfield. We haven't had a CM creator who runs international games (Gazza) for a long time.
