Well I was wrong!

While Morgan won the game, excellent contributions from the Sussex Boys I thought - good to see Luke Wright given a decent bowl....

Great knock from Morgan, he's a real class act. Could force himself into the Test team in time for the Ashes I reckon.

Important to win the first game of the summer like that. Maintains our momentum over the Aussies and we can continue to assert some kind of authority over them; we're in the position where we can really believe we are the superior outfit going into every game. Great win for the mental side.

I had a SMASHING day at the Rose Bowl yesterday.

Wright and Yardy bowled really well, and Wright batted very sensibly when it looked like it was all going wrong. Bresnan did well too. Morgan, though

As for the Aussie bowlers, Bollinger, Harris and the teenager Hazlewood, all quick - all over 90mph.

They didn't much enjoy losing though - none of them even CLAPPED Morgan's ton. POOR show. :nono:

I like Punter. He's one of the GOOD GUYS.

It was dissapointing in a way that Morgan hit that 4 and won the game with the shot that bought up his ton. I'd have preferred it if he'd knocked the single he needed, so he could get the personal ovation he so richly deserved, then won it in the next over.
