In fairness, you need more than 4 overs to take a wicket - even numbers 10 and 11. You need to think the players out.
To be fair, England were doing that all game. Vaughn's field placement was usually spot on, and it's easy to complain about his lack of slip fielders. The one that sticks in the mind was the one that Jones bowled that just eluded Banger at first slip. A third slip, with three fielders bunched up would have meant Clark would have been out earlier.
Other mistakes - the run out chance, Pieterson's dropped catch, etc. But mistakes happen and are not the reason we failed to win. The real reason was the rain and the fact that Australia are a gutsy, classy side - although they are no longer a class apart. England have proved that.
