Explain what you mean by 'the Anderson-Swann-Broad cartel' and what their intent is/was re KP?

The rumours are that these were the main instigators behind the twitter account mocking KP.

We'll never know the whole story, but with a lot of things in life, there may be more than just KP being a twat. Saying that, team morale is very important, and if KP was causing major problems, then despite his undoubted abilities, maybe it's best for the team to move on.

so that makes it ok on sending texts to the opposition on how to get your team mates out

Not sure i know he did call him a doos but there where other texts and the last i read where the reports he sent texts on how to get him out

Kevin Pietersen texts 'told South Africa how to bowl to Andrew Strauss' | Metro.co.uk

So there's still no even slight proof or evidence then?
They are probably still investigating. Which is odd because it took the ECB less than 12 hours to decide Stuart Broad had nothing to do with his friend setting up the pretend KP twitter.

Surely if KP has nothing to hide from, then show them his phone!! It goes far more beyond the text messages though I think. Wherever KP has been, he has been tolerated for a while because he is so good, but eventually enough is enough. It also doesn't help that KP is not that bright and shoots from the mouth without thinking. Onwards and upwards I say. I hope he does return next summer to beat the Aussies but I fear that is the last we have seen of him in an England shirt.

Onto the actual squad, I think Taylor is unlucky not to go whereas Morgan is lucky to be on the plane. I can see why they wanted him though, otherwise they could be playing 3 batsmen with less than 5 caps in the top 6 which is clearly risky. Good to see Root in there, hope he does well.

His scores since July aren't too impressive.

Indeed, and that's against Division 2 attacks. I understand he's one for the future but he won't have much of one if he gets destroyed this autumn

KP is one of the most destructive batsman in the world and feared by all bowlers/teams, so what if some of the players can't stand him, he is a match winner. DROPPED CATCH BY THE SELECTORS SOME MAY SAY!

Is it ok to throw hissy fits and abuse your team mates for a slight misfield like Swann does during a test match?

Two years ago people were saying Broad shouldn't be playing because he wasn't looking at umpires while appealing.
I tend to agree with nearly every ex-England captain on Sky, it should have been sorted ages ago, KPs never been anything but professional on the pitch

To change the subject from KP .... You can tell that cricketers, even those who are at the top, don't get paid as much as footballers. There's quite a few in that list who know they won't, injuries permitting, be anywhere near the Test team, and yet they're prepared to be away for months at a time. Contrast that with footballers who object and promptly make themselves unavailable if they spend a couple of weekends away and aren't picked.
