Pleased Carroll is back, would like to see him play more regularly as I think he could be a real star internationally, particularly the way we play.

Disapointed Shawcross is in though. We look really weak at centre back now, I hope Caulker gets some first team action soon and is as good as a lot of people say he is.

I actually couldn't give less of a f*** about England. Sad really, but that appears to be the same attitude a hell of a lot of our top players have had for the last twenty years.

I said I'd start taking an interest again once Capello and Terry had gone, but it turns out I still don't really care.

Sterling is in U-21 as Pearce needs him

Can't believe Ferdinand isn't playing
I'm guessing Hodge doesn't wanna bring him back too soon and make it slightly obvious he dropped him for "non-footballing reasons" first time around...

Joking?

RIght?

No, my only knowledge of top flight football is from the occasional glance at the back pages. I have no idea who these two are. They obviously do not play for one of the big teams otherwise I'd have heard of them before.

One plays for Stoke and the other for Villa. Reasonable grounds for never having heard of them I think.

Ummm. No.

Kyle Walker plays for Tottenham and is a brilliant right back who has already been in England squads.

Coming onto a thread about the english football team and not knowing our best right back is odd

There are a lot of areas which I know little about which I research by opening up books or threads or whatever. Learning is not odd. Wikipedia says he is on loan at Aston Villa. Thank you for correcting me. Wiki also says he has only played three games for England which is why I have overlooked him. Is he the one who stole the toilet seat? That was a right back wasnt it?
