I did get an email from the FA ticketing dept the other day informing me the San Marino game at Wembley was one 'I couldn't afford to miss'.

As it turns out, I could.

I actually couldn't give less of a f*** about England. Sad really, but that appears to be the same attitude a hell of a lot of our top players have had for the last twenty years.

I'm waiting for the 'same old' comments but there are a few interesting ones there.

Good to see Gibbs back. Baines would appear to be the natural successor to Cole at left back but Gibbs provides a different option. Thought Jenkinson might sneak in but there is no point disurpting his club form at the moment.

Assume he'll go for Cahill and Lescott at the back but I would love to see Jagielka get the start.

Nice to see Adam Johnson back also but would also have loved to have seen Matt Jarvis given a spot after his excellent play for West ham recently.

The last Euros players actually looked like they really gave a fcuk but just didnt have the quality.

With your attitude suprised you didnt give up on Brighton when we had a decade of players not giving a shit

English ? or plastic English when we do well ? bet if I was to do a search you would of been cumming in your pants about us before the Italy game.

Glad to see Gibbs in there. Can't say I'm surprised about the squad, maybe a bit light on the left wing.

You couldn't be more wrong. I've held a season ticket at the Goldstone, Priestfield, Withdean and now Falmer. I was there when times we tough and supported the team.

Don't confuse my attitude with the attitudes of almost every England player since the 90's. I see the occasional player that'll bleed for the cause, but not very bloody many. As opposed to the Brighton squad of '97 - almost unbelievably poor - yet they gave everything constantly, even though it's questionable as to how many of there were good enough to play league football.

Jenkinson has dual nationality - English and Finnish. Played for both at youth level.

England supporters. The only supporters in the world that will boo their own players because of the club team they play for.

Thought Sterling might be in there, but he's only 17... no point putting too much pressure on such young shoulders. Give him time to nuture. Forster's an interesting one though.

Going to the San Marino game
