I took one look at the line-up before kick-off and binned this off. I read the report so far and none of it surprises me in the slightest.

I maintain that we have the players but he doesn't seem to have a clue about how to blend a side. In the World Cup he employed Dele Alli and Jesse Lingard to make runs and link midfield and attack, but bizarrely he has Grealish at his disposal to perform that function but chooses not to start him.

Tyler just praised the performance of Kalvin Phillips.

Didn’t watch but don’t need to in order to identify the problems.

Pickford, dier, Philips, shouldn’t be close to an england squad. Trippier shouldn’t be close to playing as left back either. We could probably field a team almost if fairly decent right backs though at least. Trent, Walker, trippier, James, Justin, lamptey, bissaka, max arrons.

Midfield is dross. Rice is bang average but obviously better than Philips. Sancho completely overrated.

Kane is knackered and out of form completely

Manager is boring as fk and has literally done nothing as a manager except make us worse. beating Tunisia and Sweden in World Cup means jack shizzle, and something hinselwood would manage.

Agreed. Why on earth didn’t they scrap the Nations League for this season?! It’s nonsense.

Likewise the Football League should have cancelled the league cup for a year. The football calendar for the next year is just crazy.
