Nobody is surprised, but really we should be.
The highest rated player in the last 2 England games, the player of the match and best player on pitch in last game, is dropped for a crap out of form bench warmer.
I cannot wait until Southgate buggers off, he's tactically inept and he's the biggest hindrance to Dunk.
He picks some players out of misplaced loyalty or what they did 4 years ago and not on form or current performances.

Indeed, Southgate is making a rod for his own back selecting a player who’s A past it and B is getting heckled by England fans. I could understand if it was Kane as he scores goals but a plodding Henderson I don’t get he adds nothing.

Let Dunk establish himself with a fine performance against the Scotch and then MotM against the Australians, only to drop him for an out of form own goal specialist.
Predicted by many on here but it’s still insulting for the player, our club and all Brighton fans.

I'm not surprised but it does beg the question what Maguire has to do to be dropped. He doesn't play for his club and scored an own goal in his last game. Has he got pictures of Southgate intimate with farm animals?
We are all-but qualified anyway, so wouldn't mind Maguire putting in his usual display and showing up Southgate.
