He's been faultless. I realise when I watch international football with genuine interest how sedate and turgid it is, but he looks so comfortable. Great on the ball and our best player defensively.
Hopefully he gets at least 70 minutes.

Are we seeing a Southgate plan B ? One touch passing at the back orchestrated by Lewis Dunk and incisive breaks forward…the Brighton way.

I can only but hope and to be honest it doesn’t have to be Dunk. It looks like we actually want to win.

At the moment, it looks like Dunk has 50+ caps, not a few. That’s embarrassing for Southgate IMHO. What a waste of a talent all these years.

He basically just looks like an upgrade on Maguire. Which we all know he is. It's shocking to think Maguire has played so much more than him. And f*** off everyone who says 'but Maguire is great for England'. Dunk would have been better. He's way too good to be playing against Championship players and it shows.

The only frustration is that Rice is dropping too deep. He needs to push on a little and put a bit more faith in the centre backs’ abilities to retain possession and ping those first time passes through the Jock defence.

He’s a Dier/Maguire, but who can pass any distance, has vision and a cool head.
