My daughter ordered the grand kids shirts and shorts on a ‘dodgy’ website I think from China
£15 for the set and they look as good as originals, apparently all the parents at the school use the site..
took 3 weeks to arrive..

I've just managed to buy a three quarter length wool overcoat, hand made in the UK, in a sale for £99. It will last me forever. Why people spend this kind of money on a plastic England shirt utterly baffles me. We are consumer mugs.

just get an England themed, even proper badged, cotton t-shirt from supermarket for tenner.

Good old Daily Mail style sensationalising, the kit is only £75, unless you are made of money and for some reason want to buy a players specification shirt at £114.95.

Only £75? ONLY £75? I don't buy replica shirts so I have no clue as to how much they cost usually, but £75 for a bit of polyester is insane! And it's not as if it's 'for life' as they change regularly and I'm guessing a lot of the purchasers will want to stay current and will buy a new version in, what one or two years' time? (Unless they're deliberately designed to fall apart quickly in which case they're an even bigger waste of money).

I fear my Whoosh may not have been that obvious, sorry . £75 is scandalous, c£55 seems to be the norm in the UK, which is now almost as much as Europe, Asia and US prices, but is still a scandal.

As for the term 'replica' you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference from a few paces, the changes are subtle but the design is basically the same. Originally the players specification shirts were never for sale, that made them special, and a sure sign that they were the real thing. Now anyone can buy a player specification shirt, get it badged and numbered, and the tout it around as a real players match shirt, a lot of people are getting ripped off.

Something to bear in mind though, if you give a kid the kit of his/her favourite team he/she will live in it. They wash up brilliantly, stay brightly coloured, and will probably outlast plenty of cheap an nasty items you might pick up in Primark etc. You could argue it’s the best value clothing you can put a kid in. As for adults, with their home team shirt, it could well be worn to every home game, and probably some away games, again, they wash brilliantly, and you won’t be using, or looking to buy, any other tops to wear to footie matches.

I know we are talking about an England shirt here, of course that is a bit different, and it is both unpopular and extremely overpriced, give it six months and you’ll probably be able to find it for half price or less in JD Sports etc.

Will be interesting to see if it's cheaper via Kitbag etc before the tournament, as in previous years.

The women's away shirts (not even worn in Euro 2022) are still full price everywhere.

Surely it's a false economy. At the last Euro's I bought the lad a Ben White England top. After all, it's not like we've had a chance to do so before and that set me back about £50 or so. I'd probably do the same again - even though it is highly unlikely there will be an Albion player in the squad - but not at 75 notes and I can't be alone. That is an outrageous price for something that costs pence to make.

Unfortunately football shirts are a fashion item and attract a premium which I am not prepared to pay.

I bought a couple of albion shirts from the shop a few years back which were £10 each, not particularly good quality (they were the 1970s bukta short sleeve style but nylon ?) and have lasted the best part of 10 years . One is not worn much as it is signed ' to my twin ' . I do have a few other retro Albion shirts including the Bukta long Sleeve, Skint and the 1960s one but they were no more than £35 and each has a special meaning.
