No I don't. I'm pretty certain you are, though. Your post clearly demonstrates that.

I'm not the angry one my dear.

Who's last match? Hopefully not an England game as the Union flag is the British flag, not England's. Great for the Olympics or British and Irish Lions Rugby though.

At our last England match the Union Jack was being displayed by a few fans.
We used to have union jack flags all the time at England matches in the old days.
Im quite happy to see a mixture of union jack and England flags.

Yes we did, if you look at film of the 1966 World Cup final for example almost all you can see are Union flags. (Indeed I myself once waved a Union flag at an England game at Wembley when I was 11 or 12 in about 1968). However like a lot of things in the 'old days' it was wrong, we learnt and moved on. I'd hate it to go back.

(I'd also like to drop the British national anthem in favour of something English, but that's another whole can of worms!)

We had the Union Jack at England games in the 80s and early 90s too.
I agree we don't want to go completely back to all union jacks,I love the England flag but a mixture of both is ok.

I would also change the national anthem but I'm genuinely torn between "Jerusalem" or dizzee rascals"Bonkers".

But for today against the Scots it should just be England flags flying.

I think the Union Jack may start to become more common again.
I saw a few being waved our last match and it looked fantastic.

Never felt disturbed by seeing a Union Jack in hand. I like it. Just the England. Again, mainly because of those who use it for reasons I don't like.

If he wants a slightly bigger flag he could use always his shirt.

I don't own an England flag, but if I did I'd put it up. I have a Union Flag but it feels inappropriate as it's England I'm supporting in this competition, not Wales or Scotland

No sign of your snowdog, but yes, I would love to wave my England flag. Please can you tell me where I can get the version that says I'm supporting England because it's my country and I'm proud of it and am supporting our team without being falsely identified by judgemental stereotyping c***s as a right wing, fascist, homophobic, racist nazi?

I'll await answers in the bear pit, where this is surely bound - those judgemental so-and-so's who delight in calling out people they've wrongly stereotyped get pretty narked, in my experience, when they get called out for what they are themselves. It's one of the things that I am reluctantly ashamed of about my country at the moment - the number of people out there who actually seem to want us to be ashamed of our country and ashamed of waving our flag to support our teams.

You fool.
