Certainly not the first half of the season when the rest of the Arsenal team we poor. For me, he just has not improved a jot over the last few years - pace but absolutely nothing else. Just look at the progress Oxy has made in such a short time - far more than Walcott has progressed in much longer.

walcott is a lot more useful than downing though.

im not saying hes amazing but hes one of the better wingers we have. young, a.johnson, Ox and walcott surely our best 4 at present. they are all dangerous on their day.

GK: Hart, Green, Ruddy

DF: Baines, Cahill, Cole, Johnson, Jones, Lescott, Terry

MF: Barry, Downing, Gerrard, Lampard, Milner, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Parker, Walcott, Young

ST: Carroll, Defoe, Rooney, Welbeck

Standby - Butland, Jagielka, Henderson, Johnson, Sturridge

Sturridge and Richards the two glaring omissions. Not sure why Milner is continually selected for England. Downing's just.. urgh. Defoe, why?
