I don't blame Capello for this shower of shite but I think he will struggle to get anywhere with England; howeverI think any manager would struggle with England at present when you look at the problems....
No goalkeeper that inspires confidence in the defence
Poor left back
Complete absence of a winger that can cross (left and right)
No international standard striker
In built mentality to resort to the long ball game.
Over inflated egos and lack of passion
No depth in this squad

So good luck Capello, my opinion concentrate on developing the Under21 and dump the current wasters at least they can play as a team.

An England friendly was BORING, and some people who were daft enough to watch the thing, express SURPRISE!

Some people never learn.

The real dissapointment is Gerrard though. How much longer can we give him before we have to accept that he only cares about Liverpool?

Should have been out the door a long time ago. He's been crap for YEARS now.

Gerrard = :tosser:

Stevie G still has a tremendous amount to offer the England squad, I think he can work in the whole behind a striker but Wazza kept coming short to pick up the ball and Gerrard was playing in a nothing position. I think he'll play Lampard and Stevie G in the centre for the next game with a holding midfielder and we'll see the best of both of them.

Matt Dickinson in The Times gave Downing a 6, equal top rating with Rio!

What game was he watching??

And Hargreaves only a 5 whereas most people on here figured he was the best of a poor bunch.

And Wes a 3!

Dont really like Downing but he was the only one to take on people last night.

Beckham was our best player.

Wes Brown clearly deserve more than Utd are offering him

James is a clown.

Terry was shit, time for Woodgate or someone else.

We Kept the ball well and that formation will come good if we keep it and the players get used to it.

Actually Capello does take part of the blame. If he's such a fecking shit hot manager why can't he:
a) pick a better team, and
b) get more out of the 11 he has on the pitch?

We were bloody woeful for most of the game. No energy, no drive, no enthusiasm.

And then he's interviewed and can't even speak our bloody language.

Because this was only his second game in charge & the level of technical shitness that has been engrained into our wanky players over the last decade will take more then a mumbled anglo-italian team talk to do!
