:lolol:

how about Wes Brown or Hargreaves Braders?

how Wes Brown is even in the squad i'll never know , is it me or does he spend the whole game in the background

Hargreaves is one of the only United players i have anytime for - BUT if we were having a central midfielding captain Stevie G is surely a more obvious choice?

i'm pretty sure there is a character limit for posts and it will take me the end of TIME and a day to answer such comment...

Well if you don't think Gary is captain material, what about Ashley Cole?

Terry or Beckham

Ferdinand is a great defender, but hes as thick as shit and a rubbish leader
Gerrard is a good captain for Liverpool, but he can never be bothered for England.

Terry and Beckham are the only ones who perform for England

Ferdinand - class act on the pitch, great leader with experience.

He's come on a long way since the drug test days

The same Ferdinand who at the champions league final had to ask Ferguson whether Man U should take penalties first or not? Bloody clever!

And also you need a role model to be England captain, Terry may have offended some Americans and parked his car in a disabled bay, but Ferdinand got banned for taking drugs - which is worse?

Joke?

Neville is an excellent captain, as proved by many years of servive at united. He is passionate about playing for his country, and never ever flinches a challenge. He is old enough and experienced enough to have the full respect of the whole squad, and would take no crap from the fancy-dans.

Ashley Cole is a brilliant and intelligent footballer. England's best defender, and the only defender, bar Ferdinancd, guaranteed a place in the best starting Xi. He is just about the ONLY player in the England set up who actually produces his best performances in the biggest games. Something the rest could learn from, with him as skipper.

Good luck finding proof Ferdinand took drugs.

"Bloody clever"? Why, for asking the manager for instructions? Yeah, that's a real f*** up that is.
