I was trying to think of English World Champions whether they be individuals or teams. I can only think of Rugby Union (for now). Anyone else no of any?

Penny Farthing racing maybe?

Clinton Woods - IBF World Light-Heavyweight Boxing Champion

I would say Ricky Hatton, but he doesn't actually have a championship belt at the moment, despite being generally regarded as the top Light-Welterweight in the world.

Are we World champions at marbles, or do the Germans still hold the title?

We are usually world champions in pub sports which involve wearing proper shoes such as darts, pool and snooker - but not sure who the champions are now

Depends which darts, One is Dutch (Barney) and the other is English (MArtin Adams) - but Barney is still alot better than Adams

I've no idea who the current champions are, but I see the 2007 World Beard and Moustache Championships are being held in the Brighton Centre on September 1 - a big chance for some of the hairier NSCers to shine on home turf perhaps?

Here are some of the contestants from 2003 so you can see who you will be up against (including someone called "David Dade from Brighton"):
