Looks promising.

To be released in 3 days on Youtube.

It's about time public figures of good conscience stood up for common sense.

Yeah that will stop the blood shed !!!

I hate rich celebrates trying to look cool and down with right on subjects all tooooo easy smacks of self publicity.

Taken from an interview in 2007

In an April interview with UK newspaper "The Guardian", actor Morgan Freeman explained that he had stopped using cocaine and other "hard drugs" but that he would "never give up on the ganja"

Morgan, age 65, has been nominated for three Academy Awards. He called marijuana "God’s own weed" and explained how Moses’ encounter with the "burning bush" was an early Biblical reference to the spiritual benefits of cannabis use. Sadly the reporter didn’t explore Freeman’s pot-based beliefs further, but did add that ganja was clearly "a subject close to his heart".

Says it all to me, deluded rich I can do anything over rated actor.

...Or they're just an endorsing an idea that could drastically improve the quality societies worldwide, save countless lives, and significantly improve economies - a subject that most celebrities are afraid to because of its taboo.

Respect to all of them, hopefully some politicians will stand up too, but I doubt it - The last time common sense regarding this topic was spoken in parliament, he lost his job (Prof Nutt)

I do not want to argue as I do not feel that it will make a blind bit differance. I just dont think it is that simple ! what is the solution ? drug lords will carrying on killing and people will continue to die from drugs (I have lost friends) and I dont see celebrates as brave or I should respect them, I see them endorsing there own cause as much as the politcians do. I am just tooooo cynical about people in power or celebrates with an agenda.

Just visited the website: Home Page

and it looks like a very promising campaign, I've signed the petition

Just had a quick shufty through and apart from nothing on the website about what they propose to do about controlling drugs and you must have some form of control with hard drugs. I had a look on the supporters page and found our very own Leader of the Green Party Caroline Lucas, MP

Another reason why I will not be voting or supporting this crock of shit.

. Nobody dies from smoking weed, and that's just one of many safe illegal drugs.

So someone smoking weed and driving is that ok ? and if they crash and kill people is that the persons fault or the drug ? & that is just one example I am sure people have died as a result of smoking weed !

I dont understand....

Have I gone mad.....

Someone tell me I am sane ?

I like you man. I like what you have to say about a lot of things. I was secretly pleased and high fived you across the net when you got out of the smoke and back to Brighton, I like your avatar, I like your general vibe.

But on this. You're dead wrong. Might as well try and poke smoke uphill with a sharp stick as try and win a ridiculous War against drugs.

We can't even slow down the heroin trade out of Afghanistan with half of f***ing NATO stationed on top of the drum..how the f*** are you going to stop a bloke selling some Ganj in the bogs at the pub or a dirty poor farmer growing coco to pay for his kids clothes.

Why thank you Mr Bevendean Hillbilly,

I am not against it so to speak (as you can guess I am no mug on this subject) and I agree with it in principal just how will it work this break the taboo thing has no answers just a logo come to me with what when and most importantly how, thats all, I dont think some people understand the amount of drugs that will be available if you think it is easy now !

surely this is a no brainer? What would be in it for gangs if drugs were legalised?

No the No brainer is the goverment or an agency on their behalf in control....

Do you think they will be selling (which is kind of what we are saying) premier A grade stuff ? Do you think they might water it down perhaps ? Do you think there maybe just a chance the drug lords might make a stonger cheaper product.... ? Think this through please we have legal spirits being copied and sold on the streets today which killed something like 20 odd people in Prague a few months ago..... I surely have a point !

People must understand some very unsavoury goverments or counties (despite what we think about ours) will grow fat off drugs export and fund possible terrorism.

The worst thought is America has recently invaded counties because they had Oil fields due to the high demand in their country in the future it will be Poppy fields due to the high demand.... !!

I cant see goverments dealing with drug lords which they are now to get this started which they will have to do, will the drug lords get immunity ?

Just a none starter.

Someone explain how this would all work and I may change my mind.

There's a very real difference between legalisation and decriminalisation, and I don't know what to make of the fact that there is no real differentiation made in their mission statement.

It seems to blur a noble idea of rehabilitation through a medical rather than penal route, with an ideological stance on human rights and a pragmatic approach to saving taxpayer money. I'm not sure how many people will agree with all three of those statements.

Personally I don't mind paying slightly more tax to prevent drug use (and the spillover effects), and I don't think anyone has a human right to take drugs, but I do think an addict is better served in a hospital bed than a prison.

You are sane..... Just wrong. There will still be laws in place - as there are now - to stop people driving under the influence of. Mind you if you do smoke or have ever imbibed then you know those crashes at 8 mph are less dangerous than the alcohol related ones.

I have read that smoking cannabis is is more carcinogenic than tobacco alone, so I guess it can kill you. Something to do with the larger drags and inhalation associated with smoking a joint over a regular cigarette.

Ask any MS sufferer the effects of smoking cannabis, its the only thing to give any relief from some of the symptoms for a short time. Far safer than a concoction of prescription drugs :)
