I vaguely remember one year, there was a table on the pitch for the presentation, with some banner advertising either Rediffusion, or whichever local company supplying it, pegged out in front.

One of the opposition players, seem to recall it was Kevin Francis, tripped over the pegged out rope as he ran on the pitch.

Well spoken, intelligent, and says all the right things (well, apart from suggesting that we gave a good account of ourselves in both games v Hull, perhaps he forgot about the first half in the replay).

I was surprised that Matt Upson had never won a Player of the Season for any of his clubs before.
