I gathered he was still adjusting to the physicality and pace of the English Championship? Pretty sure that's what CH said not long ago

How much time has he actually had in the Championship? Hard to adjust something when you've hardly been exposed to it.

I imagine he's just being introduced slowly. He did get kicked in the face within five minutes of making his debut. Probably not used to the physical nature of English football. A kick in the face is a bit far, admittedly.

That would explain how he forgot what staying onside means.

He can't still be all shook up, shirley?

I do sometimes think people want players to fail. He's hardly played and some people (including the OP) seem to want to write him off. Why not give players a chance rather than starting threads complaining about them when they're young and have recently moved to a new country/league?

We've made some good and some excellent acquisitions for this season - Kayal, Bong, Rosenior, Hemed and Murphy, plus some still to come that we're a bit excited about - Harper and Hambo. Almost by the law of averages, maybe one signing will not work out.

Not going to write him off yet though - he's hardly played, for a start. It is a mild worry that he seems to be a long way down the pecking order and hasn't exactly set the world alight so far, but it's early days. It's a winning team he's trying to break into, after all........

It's never been fully clear to me what position Manu is best in. If it's as a striker there should be plenty of opportunity to push Hemed for a spot?

Another Toko? Expected to do well, but a poor bit of scouting.

Elvis was the one player Hughton seemed less keen on. I wonder if Marshall would have had a bigger impact.

At least Elvis has been in the squad every week since Wolves and has actually come on a couple of times in the league. Toko, if I remember correctly, made one solitary appearance in the match day squad against Burton in the League Cup, and got on for about 10 minutes when we were 3-0 up.

Why doesn't CH rate him? We are supposed to have paid 1.5m for him so why hasn't he forced his way in. Especially with KLL injured and Murphy suspended.

I really thought we would have an "Elvis scores the Winner" headline by now but I think we may have wasted our money.:nono:

Why do people keep banging on about him playing wide ? He is a forward !

We are not yet the sort of club who can pay 1.5m for a player who cannot challenge for a first team place. He has hardly played because he isn't good enough to impress CH. I am not writing him off, just disappointed that someone who's cost that amount isn't doing the business.

Love him tender or the Jail house will rock. Too many suspicious minds on here.

A little less conversation, it's now or never!

A coincidence but his wife is on the tele at the moment, she looks like she's overdosed on Botox.
