According to Sky (so probably nonsense) we're after Michael Brown, who's on his way out of Portsmouth, with competition from Cardiff. Doesn't seem to add up considering the amount of midfielders we already have fighting for a place. Perhaps Lansbury isn't staying? Doesn't strike me as a like-for-like move though. Thoughts anyway.

it occurs to me the rumours can be started and fed to both sides, it doesnt make it any more credible. someone makes this up, posts it, texts to brighton mate who posts it here. 4:09 to 4:26. why would our youth team coach tell someone?

While I agree with the sentiment, given that he only recently (November) signed a FOUR year contract, I'd be very surprised if he suddenly decided he wanted to up sticks and move. He must have known two months ago that there would probably be interest in his services in the January window.

That valuation is with him wanting it. He's on a four year deal. We're not going to be giving him away. Bennett doesn't seem the sort of player to create a storm out of things either.

True, Bennett's been a massive influence to the side this season, but we could easily go up automatically without him.
