Is, IMHO a very, very good player. Not quite worth the entrance fee alone but he's getting up there: the chap's starting to look like one of the more threatening wingers of ours I can remember for a very long time and with excellent end-product not to mention some cracking goals too. Some find.

I suspect we will need to be progressing upwards quite rapidly to keep hold of him. Hopefully Gus can inspire him!

If we can hold onto him long enough, he will become a VERY important player for us.

Without wishing to sound too much like The Complete Badger, I did think this from the very first time I saw him play, in one of his earliest games for us.

He is our Ashley Young.

Gus is singing his praises in this article. I really hope we can hold on to him, he is a quality player but like a previous poster has said we will have to be progressing or he will be tempted away.

Bottom line is we are not a selling club anymore and it would take big big money to tempt us or a massive chance for him to play top flight footie.

When we bought him, Wolves indicated that they would not have sold Bennett if they were still in the Championship. As it was, they couldn't promise hime regular Premier League football, so they let him go. I think we'll need to get promoted in the next couple of seasons to keep hold of him.

I hope your right there, one of many benefits of having decent financial backing is that we don’t need to cash in on decent prospects. As long as the club’s ambition matches his ambition then hopefully we can hold onto him.

Fully agree with what you've posted there MoH, Now if we could just find a left sided equivalent of Bennett and get McNulty back to fitness we've got the makings of a very good team.

or maybe we have not had any players worth anything to sell. This year it seems a different story. Bennett, Dicker, Mcnulty and Crofts must be worth a decent whack and the televised game on Sunday alone must have done the price on Murray no harm at all. Can't remember the last time we had 5 players in the team who could attain a decent transfer fee.

Needs to work on his decision making (when to cross or shoot) but agree that he is a very exciting prospect.

A good player, yes and the type of winger that we've been missing. But he doesn't do enough when we lose the ball for me. Many occasions in the first half he was too high up the pitch when Saints were breaking, leaving us effectively with a 3 man midfield.

My mate last night said he had a shocker in 1st half last night.
I told him he was the best player and perhaps he should go to Specsavers.
Only thing we could agree on was that sometimes his final delivery is poor, but you see right wingers in the Prem with poor delivery!
He will play at a higher level and I bloody hope it is with us!

I think he should take every corner too.

Agree after Sunday that Murray will be looked at.

Sure scouts and whoever are well aware of players without the need of a televised game to get their attention.
Bennett is quality not afraid to go at players with pace and has got a nice cross on him. Will progress as well as his decision making gets better. If only we had a left footed version as well

The really good thing is that he can defend as well as attack. Our back four need that cover and that makes him a very good player for us. Not always obvious stuff, but very important.

To be honest we have a lot of good players, we have just had a poor team. It hasn't changed just because we have two wins, but it could easily change in the coming weeks.

I was actually quietly pleased that Bennett had a quiet game on TV on sunday as I believe he has the potential to be our next £1m+ sale , perhaps in the season after next...
