Hi All,
I posted several weeks ago about a charity match in memory of ex-Albion, Simon Funnell's daughter, Ella, who sadly died aged just 18 days, just before Christmas. The match, between Albion All Stars and Palace All Stars is on Sunday 5th Sept at Three Bridges FC, KO 1pm. Gates open at 11am and there will be a bouncy castle, face painting and a penalty shoot out to win a signed shirt.
Entry is by programme (£5) (can be bought on the gate) and accompanied children under 12 go free. Funds raised will be divided between Meningitis UK and Group B Strep Support.
Simon has arranged the Albion team and Steve Kember is bringing some well known ex-Palace stars.
We hope that you will come along and meet some of your old favourites whilst supporting this very worthy cause. Organising the event has given much comfort to Simon and his partner, Lucie, so please come along if you can.

Went to this today and had a great time with Mrs and Jnr Oscar. Great to see some old legends along with Gus and Tanno in a 5-3 win for the Albion. Seemed to be more Palace than Albion there though. And Tanno left the field miffed at a rather over the top challenge that left him injured.

Thanks to Simon Funnell and co for a great day in aid of a great cause.

Thanks to all Albion fans who supported the day and good luck for the rest of this season. Early indications are that over £5,000 was raised which is very satisfactory in the current economic climate. Best wishes to you all. John Dunbar (Simon Funnell's father in law)
