Elder & Elphick To Start Saturday?

With Elphick and Elder being left out of the reserves tonight, instead being replaced by Mayo and Robinson, both SHOULD start against Cheltenham. Correct move in my opinion, Elder deserves a full game for the first team and Elphick looked solid while he was on against Oldham. We all now how Mayo played, and Robinson is still searching for his confidence (although showed signs of getting better on Saturday I thought).

Sullivan is also playing instead of Kuipers

:clap2: Wilkins

Does it matter-it's a meaningless game?;)

Play the reserves at Cheltenham and the first team against Bornmuff tonight. Perhaps not, we want to win that title...

Elphick deserves another start, I thought we looked a lot better at the back against Oldham when he came on and we moved Rehman to right back. I also thought Elphick didn't do too badly against Doncaster, but was sat right at the front of the cheap ticket stand and the view wasn't great so really it could have been anyone out there.

Rehman is not a great cb in my view, he is a solid rb tho
Agreed - he has been at fault for 3 goals in 2 games. Elphick CB Rehman RB. Could Kuipers be playing, given that he's not playing for the ressies? Either that or he's definitely FINNISH.

I would like to see Elder, Elphick and the FDM play at Cheltenham... the only thing is, Wendy should have done this 6 games ago...

I can't believe Elder hasn't started a game before now, I really cannot see him being any worse than Robinson or Gatting...

Fingers crossed for him.

Think it might be a big goodbye from Kuipers on Saturday, Wilkins allowing him one more game, but hope not.

Looks like we're going to end up 5th off the bottom of the division then :(

Hope so. Would end the whole "Kuipers vs any other keeper who dares to play here"` debate.

T.Elphick is a GENUINE one for the future and looks the part. He deserves a run in the side.

As for Nathan Elder, get the distinct feeling he's not showing he can make the step up in class. The lack of starts sets the warning bells flashing (same as with the Albion's never-used-under-any-circumstances young keepers). Sadly NA seems somewhat surplus to requirements since we signed Bas VERY late in the day. The cheap option was no longer needed at that point.

The Reserves team tonight would suggest that there is no place in the starting line up at Cheltenham for Sullivan, Mayo, Fraser, Robinson, Gatting or Frutos. It would suggest that Kuipers, Elphick, Hart and Elder will all be in the starting eleven.

Is Kuipers playing for his contract on Saturday?
