Your favourite moderator, El Presidente, is- in spite of a late, annoying injury sustained recently- attempting his first ever marathon next month, in Brighton. And Hove.

He's far too modest to post his sponsorship page on here (or is a bit worried about being accused of abusing Mod privileges, or possibly taking the limelight away from the REMF runners, an equally noble bunch).

Personally, I don't think it's an abuse though, and he's running for the Alzheimer's Society, raising money for research into a particularly nasty and cruel disease. So I thought I'd give a shameless plug on here for a fellow moderator (without his knowledge), and hope none of you think it's taking the piss.

Thank you all for your incredible generosity.

My wife gave up her job last year to look after her mum, who has Alzheimer's, and it turns good decent people into zombified shells of themselves, unrecognisable to those who love them, and unable to recognise them back.

Thank you again, it's been an amazing response.
