Poyet has brought in some really good players and got the team playing really well but his biggest achievement must be the way he has turned Elphick and El Abd around. This time last year, our central defence was awful (as it turns out not helped by the full backs who have been replaced) and whatever partnership we tried, we were conceding goals. Now they can't seem to do any wrong. If you had told me this time last year, that Poyet would build a solid defence on those two, I would have been shocked but it goes to show what a difference a good manager and coaching team can make.
