Sadly his backing off for the 2nd goal was poor... but overall i think he emerged with more credit than many others. And yes good stuff in him getting the armband.

I saw him make his debut for us at Notts County a few years back.
My initial reaction was "headless chicken"

I'm afraid it still is ..... He's a league 1 or 2 at best and would be out of his depth in the Championship.

How many of our squad are Championship class? Very few in my opinion.

All i remember of wilkins first season was El-Abd playing right back and backing off time and time again. Since then he has come on and is now a good squad member and in the running for player of the season last year.

I am not El-Abd's biggest fan but I agree. What were the alternatives which sadly shows the state we are in.
