He is to football what Pavarotti was to synchronised swimming. The fact that he has played 150 times for The Albion illustrates how far we have plummeted since those heady championship winning days. He wouldn't have got on the bench for any of those teams.

Sadly his backing off for the 2nd goal was poor... but overall i think he emerged with more credit than many others. And yes good stuff in him getting the armband.
Whing was clearly head and shoulders above them all yesterday...

I saw him make his debut for us at Notts County a few years back.
My initial reaction was "headless chicken"

I'm afraid it still is ..... He's a league 1 or 2 at best and would be out of his depth in the Championship.

How many of our squad are Championship class? Very few in my opinion.

I am not El-Abd's biggest fan but I agree. What were the alternatives which sadly shows the state we are in.
