His childish antagonising of opposition strikers is always entertaining

I guess his agent his just trying to up his wages now he's an international. El Abds too.

Nice lad, and a fan favourite, but purely on the footballing side I'm not bothered if he goes. He's pretty useless with the ball at his feet and a serial shirt puller/grappler.

Wouldn't mind keeping him as a squad player but if we're serious about a proper promotion push we need a centre half of superior quality to El Abd.

Utter bollocks. He's a very good Championship defender.

Good but limited. I'm always shocked that his constant shirt pulling and wrestling in the box doesn't give away more penalties. Saying that, he's worth a place in the squad and I'd be sad to see him go.

Last year it was Greer, now it's El-Abd. We like our Brighton centre halves, seemingly.

So, is he any good? What type of centre half is he? We're in need of a hard man, commanding brute type, to compliment our footballing centre halves.

Take a look at the two home goals you scored against us last season and you'll see him in action.

I think you will find that AEA is desperate for first team football, he needs to be starting on a regular basis.

THE WORLD CUP is coming, in my opinion he will be desperate to make that Egypt squad, who wouldnt want to play in it.

Therefore I see him taking the opportunity of a regular playing slot in a championship side.

I am not sure that Barnsley will give him the visibility he needs, even if he starts every game.

Barnsley won't be offering him much, convinced we can still keep him.

Depends how much we want to. A one year deal, on the same terms as he got in League One, and it's no wonder he's not feeling wanted. It suggests he isn't.

The club would just offer him a decent contract if they wanted to keep him that badly, and there's no way he would choose Barnsley over us.

Have heard that he's been offered the same salary as he was on in League 1, and for a year only which obivously reflects how we view his importance to us. Good luck to Adam if he can get better elsewhere at this stage of his career.

A "take no prisoners" defender. Likes to wind up the opposition players by getting up close and personal in the 18 yard box defending corners and free kicks. If you didn't know he was a footballer you would think he was a pro boxer.

I agree. If he's only been offered a one year contract on League 1 wages, it does suggest that he's not longer wanted here. He's due a testimonial this season too, if he stayed. Just saying.

Nope, he's going to sign a new contract. The offer he has isn't great and he wants more than 1 season but he will sign shortly. Trust me. His wife has a big say in whats going on and she isn't prepared to leave the area. Whether he stays beyond a season is obviously down to how much first team football he gets.
