Improving the first team or better cover (than Igor/Webbo)

If the latter are we over stacked when everyone fit?

Genuine question as feeling a bit underwhelmed - opinions?
Come on OTM, you’re normally one of the more positive and balanced posters on here, don’t succumb to the negativity!

I think he’s a very promising young defender and a good signing 👍

With Igor out for the rest of the season & both Dunk & Webster having injury disrupted seasons; I think it makes sense to sign a solid left footed defender who maybe is not the quickest but has a lot of championship experience so will probably be a better bet than having to use an U21 player in an injury crisis whose not got much experience of 1st team football.

It’s very difficult in January to sign the ‘ideal’ replacement unless you’re prepared to pay silly money which we understandably never are.

We have been trying for a while to land Cashin (3 windows?). From what I understand he is really popular with Derby fans and has been a leader/captain from a very young age. I am hoping he will add some steel to the defense and make us more resilient when we are defending 1/2 goal leads in the last 20 mins. I would be happy if he progresses to taking the captains armband of Dunky in the future.

Good succession signing with the Webster/Dunk era coming to an end, and JPVH likely to get a big move at some point. Massive plus that he has 150 proper games under his belt.
Hopefully there’s still room for McConville though, who looks a real talent.
They should both be given a run of games if we are in mid table land in March/April.

These is a vey good player - more than capable of playing the Brighton way so to speak - as a certain Mr Rosenior can vouch for too

Give him time to settle in and you will all be surprised how good he is

Just doesn’t feel an improvement based on what I’ve read. We desperately need pace.

However, I really don’t know anything about him other than what I’ve read, so will see when he plays…..

As per earlier post 15 mins should do it if not the warm-up

Apologies if I've missed it but have we any confirmation as to whether he has any pace? We have been so obviously lacking that for some time.
