We see players offside every week leave a ball for their team mate who isn’t offside, which never get called an offside despite the fact that attacking players offside positioning will effect play, even if only a small amount of taking the defenders attention away from the other run.

Blocking of an attacking player….blocks work both ways

The goal wasn't disallowed because of the block, it was disallowed because Endo was offside. If he was onside the block would have been fine and the goal would have stood

What was the advantage of him being offside? Might be the rule but doesn’t make it particularly logical to disallow a goal for such an action.

Simple question then is why obviously start in an offside position? He put himself there!

How come? If you mean the Chelsea 'goal', the assistant flagged for offside. VAR just confirmed that the assistant had made the right decision.

I think VAR is actually teaching us some rules we weren't aware of, and the scope of 'offside interfering with play' is definitely one
