So how much did the tickets go for in the end Arthur?
I'm guessing quite a few people on here are eBay users?
Do you understand the concept of how an auction works?
I'm selling some tickets for Groove Armada on Saturday and I've had 3 people email me with offers for them despite the fact that I didn't set a buy it now price for them.
One guy offered me a pathetic amount which I of course refused pointing out that another auction was currently going at £20 more than his offer with 3 hours still to go. To which he replied accusing me of selling the same tickets under two different usernames.
And whilst I type I get another email asking if I'm willing to split the tickets!
I give up, the world is full of fucktards!
Ebay fucks me off because I've sent 2 items and the people have claimed not to have received them when the probably have so either they lie and get free items or the Royal Mail is losing everything. The first guy was an absolute kunt about it so I gave a refund as it was only a tenner. This next guy also wants a refund but im not sure what to do . . .
Did you even get 'proof of postage'? If you did THAT, the postal service themselves, will refund you up to £34,on everyday mail. Registered is insured up to £500. Recorded would have only cost 75 extra- which you can put into the postage that the BUYER pays.
Ebay's feedback system is flawed in that most sellers will only leave +ve feedback after the buyer has left them +ve feedback. On the 2 occasions I have (justifiably) left a seller -ve feedback, they've retaliated by leaving -ve feedback on my profile.
So I can claim from the Royal Mail?
In future I will always offer Recorded and if they don't want it - no refunds.
Don't think "no refunds" is allowed on eBay, its your responsibility to make sure the item gets delivered no matter what.
You could offer recorded delivery or no sale, as some people do.
Paypal stuck up for me but Ebay took no responsibility at all.
You know they're the same company, right?
Send everything by Recorded Delivery in future.
