Ebay is crap. I wish the site would close down tommorow.

You are better off buying your goods from proper retailers on the web, not people that sell their shit after work.

If an Item is £10.00 more on Amazon I would still pay this than going through Ebay simply because of the customer service, delivery and guarantee.

The one I want I will buy from Amazon once the refund is sorted.

What really pisses me off is the fact it said brand - Samsung with a picture of one when clearly it was not.

I guess it just depends what you buy, I would be reluctant to buy anything electronic from overseas and in particular somewhere like China, the website has kept me in razor blades and car aerials for the last couple of years.

I can understand razor blades, but car aerials? Do you live in that Monkey World place where they nick anything nickable off your vehicle?

from my experience don't buy ANYTHING electrical on ebay, especially things like headphones which are mostly reconditioned and sold as new.

i stick to cds and tickets (all of which i've paid less than face value) sold by individuals and not power sellers. never had a problem. obviously, check feedback carefully.

i think you may be unlucky with paypal as i thought they only refund for non-receipt of goods.

*********************JUST REMEMBER ONE IMPORTANT THING**********************

Always use a credit card when paying through Paypal, in fact whenever you purchase anything from the internet. Why do you think they encourge you to use your Paypal balance first, or your bank account to fund purchases? It's not to make it easier for you.? The answer is simple. If you use your Paypal balance you have very few options. If you pay using a credit card, never never never enter a dispute with ebay or Paypal. They charge you for it, and take forever. Simply phone up your credit card company and ask for a 'charge back'. Tell them what happened, say you have no faith in Paypal or ebay and they will then charge back the money to Paypal. The money goes into your account straight away, and it's all over.

Paypal will email and tell you your a bad person for not going through them first, and you've broken terms and conditions, but don't worry. You are 100% with the law to do this. There is very little paypal can do. If you sell on ebay and use Paypal, may I suggest setting up 2 accounts on ebay and Paypal, and use one for money in, and another for money out, and only ever pay money through Paypal using a credit card.

After all, no matter what Paypal say, the credit card company pay THEM the money. Not the seller, but Paypal. Therefore your dispute is with Paypal, who then take up the dispute with THEIR customer, ie the seller. I buy and sell on ebay, have two seperate accounts, and have done this one at least three occisions in the past, when I have made a purchase from the States and nothing has been delivered.

Please remember this and dont fall into the trap Paypal and ebay have set for you!:)

i really dont think ebay or paypal actually care about the customers, just as long they are lining their pockets with our money

no ginadim, I don't live in Monkey World...Gloucester has been called many things but don't think I have heard that one yet...I have now had three stolen over the space of about a year and a half. Wouldn't shock me if my car was something decent, but it is only a Golf. I have my suspicion that it is an aerial theiving ring organised by the bloke who sells them, he passes on the addresses of people he sells to, then mysteriously the aerial disappears a couple of months later and he has another customer.

That is shocking! I thought maybe you were picking up foreign radio in your car with a super-aerial. Or broadcasting pirate radio. Sadly, the truth is not as exciting.

PayPal's dispute resolution is shit. I've always had to resolve stuff privately in the past.

At the moment, I want to give neg feedback to a bidder who won a wardrobe I was selling - for a paltry 99p - but who has still not collected it after three weeks and countless messages from me. He offered to pay by Pay Pal a week after the auction ended, but I said just pay cash on collection. But he's not replied to any of my emails / messages since. If I give him neg feedback, he'll only leave neg feedback in return. It's bollocks.
