Eating stuff off the floor

Why do people do this? It's rank. "Oh it's alright, it's only been on the floor". Yeah the floor that a thousand dog shit encrusted trainers have walked accross over the years. I hate it.

Woss your take on this?

The reason we have more asthma and allergies today is that kids (in particular) are too sheltered from 'dirt' whilst growing up and their bodies do not develop their natural resistances.

At home yes, without question. Outside no, unless I am pissed and have dropped my burger on the way home.

This is very true. Although it probably has more to do with the rise of anti-bacterial cleaning products than actual levels of dirt in our lives.

I think you will find the reason that, since the 70s, asthma rates have increased is because people now live in in double glazed homes with central heating and carpeted rooms. Nothing to do with dirt.

Under your skin.
The other day at the cricket me and a couple of mates were waiting outside for a lift home.We had a cricket bat and a ball with us and one of my friends (gav1901) decided it would be a good idea to swing the bat backwards and fowards a bit.

Some woman was walking along with her dinner which was a hotdog and chips. She thought it would be a good idea to walk right behind us. The bat hit her hotdog knocking it to the floor and breaking the bun in half.

I thought she would get mad and demand money for some more food but instead she picked it up off the road said sorry and walked off, as she left she took a MAHOSIVE bite. Muddy bat and a road that a fair few people had been walking on that day. :nono:

Mostly agree.

I wouldn't eat something I dropped outside or in my student house (because we have slugs and mice crawling around on the floors at night) but at home I would, using the 5 second rule of course.

We don't get to apply the 5 second rule in our house, one of the dogs would have it before it hits the floor!

To think I let you cook for me

Indeed, although I'm convinced food which has had mice traipsing all over it is still going to taste nicer and be better for you than some disgusting ready meal
