Couple of points, can someone point out to me where Jack 'wobbled' ok in the first few scenes there was the odd pause, but only a split second or so. How have the covered the future storyline last night as we know was live and normally the programme is at least a calender month ahead,or is it a question of the 'Archie' storyline being recorded/developed over the week-end so it will fit into main storyline ?

When he was in the square with Bradley and Max there early on there was a pause where he lost his line but as stated he recovered very well.

Jack forgot a couple of lines but got it back immediately and made it look like the madness of the situation. Eastenders restored their credibility last night.

Can't help you there,Little Al. However the 'cop' chasing Bradley onto the roof could well have happened anytime before the late 90,s now thanks to 'Elf n Safety' anything above two foot off the ground requires a full risk accessment !

Watched the omnibus today and i thought the acting on Friday's live episode was good considering the pressure they must have been under.

I felt physically sick when Bradley jumped off the roof. Something like that should not be shown before the watershed as it was suicide. Why were the police chasing him with the risks involved? Just hope Stacey is in Eastenders for a bit longer although i don't watch it that regularly now.

It was top acting considering it was Live! It was interesting to read that the production staff gave all the main lines to the senior actors. The younger ones would have probably norsed it up!

I was very impressed. Only mistakes I noticed were the before mentioned lines fluff and a camera not quite being as ready in a shot as it should have been. The sound wasn't quite right in a few places and Barbara Windsors dropped her full on cockney accent at times.

But overall very very good.

Much to my surprise, there are some very good actors in that soap and I think the BBC should think seriously about shooting it in a more spontaneous way.

I hate to know so much, but it wasn't suicide, he fell

He didn't jump, he fell. I too thought he jumped but watching again you see him slip backwards. And I to felt physically sick. Casualty is another program I always feel physically sick by, just the impact of falling or something cutting a limb makes me feel like that I dunno why.

I slipped unintentionally on a section of floor were our cows quite often slip, but I've never known a person to slip, and I felt stupid but after rounding up the animal I just fell instantly flat on my face, I was completely knocked out, in a pile of two inches of cow shit and that was from only six feet. The slip had quite a bit of 'speed' to make me drop quick.

Everytime I think of Bradley I keep feeling the back of my skull as that is what bothers me, the skull being smashed.

It's not the sort of thing i would want to watch again but i'm sure he jumped as it was quite a leap to where he ended up to? Horrible. I think the scripwriters are wankers for the way they did it but that's Eastenders for you.

I must be in a minority here then, but could someone just clarify exactly what is the POINT of shooting a soap opera "live" ? Its not a sporting event. Its not real life. Its just a dreary soap that endlessly pollutes our screens with its presence. So aside from it obviously being a complete gimmick to do it live......why bother ?

???

I suppose the hype-machine going into overdrive for this "event" drew a load more viewers in then. But I'm guessing it was the usual half hour of slanging matches, screeching arguments, punch-ups, despression and death.

Can't see what difference it makes if that lot is live or recorded frankly.

AS YOU DID NOT WATCH IT, YOUR NOT IN A POSITION TO COMMENT

Thats what I am told when commenting on the Albion anyway.

Well, I wandered in and out of the living room a couple of times when it was on (and heard some screaming arguments, as is the norm in this dirge).

However, I soon beat a hasty retreat to the kitchen to clean out the birdcage, whilst listening to a Danny Baker podcast. Hey, I know how to spend a Friday night eh.
