from the review it seems about £5 over priced. from the picture above, about £10 over priced. dont think i'd go there having seen that.
You'd think they'd at least cut them in half to make TWELVE wouldn't you.

I took my wife and kids on Saturday and agree with the OP. Looks like a conference room but good friendly atmosphere all the same. If considering going I would do the following
1. Book an early table
2. Load up your smart card in advance for 10% discount.
3. Get the waiter/waitress to repeat your order back to you before they leave your table.
4. Ask for your bill as soon as you are ready to pay to avoid any bottlenecks.
My kids were not fans of the nuggets either but the fish and chips and desserts were mighty fine.
Not huge portions but worth going to check it out all the same.
I went to the East Central Brasserie with my brother-in-law, prior to the Leeds game last Friday. Must say that, overall, we were both pleasantly surprised. Yes, it's not cheap, but not bad value for money. The quality of the food – think decent gastro-pub menu – was well beyond expectations, with a nice balance of the predictable (an excellent steak and chips with rocket salad) and the unexpected (vegetarian lasagne, roasted beetroot, chicken crostini, triple chocolate mousse with berry compote). Portions are on the small side, with the three course option being the only choice if you're hungry. House wines, by the glass, were very decent, and a sensible option for anyone not really needing a bottle.
The service was excellent with, if anything, too many staff. All young, polite and friendly, and pretty competent. At the end, the instant 10% saving made it well worth having remembered to use the smartcard.
The place is bright, quite stylish, spacious for sure, though with occasional Albion tops and pictures on the wall the only reminders that you aren't in some airport lounge restaurant. As others have said, the lack of any view across to the West Stand is a big disappointment, although you can walk over to take a peek at it through the windows at the far end.
The only serious downside was the presence of someone called Jack, who had unbelievably been engaged to 'entertain' the diners. His desperately unfunny patter, barked sporadically into a distorted PA system, seriously detracted from an otherwise very enjoyable pre-match meal. Although most people tried their best to ignore him, it was as entertaining as having a shaven headed, tattooed Millwall fan bellowing strangulated Cockney right into your face. Just horrible.
The key question, as ever: would you go back? For me, undoubtedly, but only for a special occasion. And only after Jack had been invited to hit the road.
Well, he won't be doing it at the East Central Brasserie anymore. The restaurant management have just told me Jack has indeed hit the road. Excellent news.Jack The Lad? Used to host the hospitality at Withdean.

Is this the same annoying twat off of the local radio station that thinks he`s Russell Brand?
Based on what was said above, having a 'compere' seems a strange concept for a sit down meal type situation.
What might work is having an Albion legend who tours the tables for a chat and photos for those interested, but not sure some sort of stand-up going on is what people would want.
