Felpham, near Bognor Regis
1500 seats sold in the east stand. seats were soaked in the first 10/15 rows so most moved near to the back until the rain stopped. lots of kids so didnt expect lots of singing.

clearly the wetness of rows will depend on wind conditions!!!!!

but, i'm surprised with the roof being so high (relative to the lower tier seats) that people assumed they'd be kept dry. it simply won't happen.

Don't get me wrong, i have no problem with a little wind spray dampness but surely being in line with the tunnels it would have to be really bloody windy to get a soaking that far back.

Disagree. I'd say it was too.

Yep me too, having sat there for the past 4 or 5 seasons there is almost always some singing at every game. The sound may not travel that well at Withdean but I'm sure it was at the Amex.

When I said that everything but the west upper and central were completely soaked when I went to choose my season ticket, I didn't say it for comedy value. If it's very windy, only tiers 2 and 3 of the west stand will be dry.

Ok then, I know when I'm outnumbered. I didn't think it was any more singy than the H block area and I was pretty smack in the middle of both. Still, pretty academic now anyway.

I was in Row Z of the East Stand as far back as you can go and the top of the seat was a bit wet where the wind had blown the rain in but nothing too serious. People at the front will have to take waterproofs though when it is raining heavily.

Atmosphere will be great when it is full.

My seat is just below the belly of the right-hand seagull (Row L). Did they all get seemingly get soaked?

I am in Row L in block C (Family), and the way the wind was blowing on Saturday, yes you will get wet.

Row L is directly below the lighting galley & speakers. When (and if) the rain is blown from the east / north east / south east we will all be as dry as a bone

unfortunately it tends to blow in from the west....still not always wind with rain...and not always raining!
