Felt the ground / building shake here at Gatwick an hour ago (11:53am)

Now confirmed as a 3.0 magnitude earthquake - the third over 2.0 in less than two weeks, and seventh this year.

Reports of it being felt in Crawley, Reigate, Horsham, Dorking, Redhill, Reigate, Haywards Heath... obviously not as far as Brighton though as no-one has created a thread in the hour since it happened!

I work on the 7th Floor near Gatwick and I felt the building move for about 3 seconds! Was a little bit frightening!

OMG, just been to Crawley and it looks horrific.

Oh, hang on, it was supposed to look like that...

We felt it at Manor Royal, most of us looked to the north to make sure there was nothing happening at Gatwick.

Felt it at Gatwick. Thought at first that a plane had crashed. Then thought that was a big one taking off. A colleague came in thinking a lorry had hit the building. Did wonder if it was an earth tremor, then confirmed by Sky News.
