Ahh bless a clip of Selhurst park at 24 mins pre Sainsbury. Nice to see that bar adding a few seats to the front few rows the Arthur Waite is EXACTLY the same as it was for our visit the other night.

When that clip was taken the front half of the stand was terracing, the seats were put in about 1990,went from being a cracking mixed enclosure to what it is now. They just put the seats in and did little else.

I used to love the old Stamford bridge.

I have a cousin who lives in Canada, he was visiting London years ago so we took him to The bridge. It was the play off game against Middlesboro, the game ended with a huge old style pitch invasion. My cousin absolutely loved it!!

that was...different. That ginger hooligan with the ear pierced. Looked like a caricature of Vyvyan Basterd from The Young Ones

It wan't pre Sainsbury, that is the stand built after the Whitehorse end (Old away end) was demolished, Sainbo was there then so that clip was 1983/84 I guess?

Ralph is a complete idiot. I guess he's in his early fifties now, probably has teenage kids of his own and is embarressed about his past.

Walking past the South stand after the Millwall game and some of their fans are high on nostalgia.

I fully recognise that things have changed considerably from the dark days of yesteryear (thank God), but I couldn't help but think that Super Mac's comments about trouble-makers taking liberties at fixtures where the local Police Force are inexperienced still echoes in the here & now. I wonder if Sussex Police will now employ a change in tactics after the Palace & Millwall shambles? It's clear to me that there's still elements attached to football clubs that require more 'robust' treatment than your average supporter - who just wants to go to the match & get home without being subjected to any crap being dished-out by morons.
