The only time I ever sat at the Goldstone - in the South Stand. Don't know why we did - but at least I stayed dry!
You were one up on me then. I stood on the East Terrace that day.

1982 Fourth Round 0-3 defeat at home to Oxford United. Woeful game.
Anybody else remember, like me, the day we scored 10 against Wisbech Town, but then went out in the second round in a replay at Bedford ?
22,229, again from Tim Carder, and it was against Notts County
14,000 for the 0-0,I think I'm right in saying that that game saw Aldershot's record crowd, just over six thousand of which I was one.
I was also there 33 years earlier for the 0-0 in 1967.
Bedford Town at the Goldstone, Nov/Dec 1965. We drew 1-1 and then lost the replay 2-1. The Albion really didn’t do the FA Cup very well in the 60s and 70s. Apart from a creditable draw with Chelsea 1-1 in 1967 we achieved bugger all when I watched them in’t Cup. Further compounded by watching the glorious defeats to Walton and Hersham and Leatherhead. Hey ho.
What was the name of local lad who played for Walton
Think I remember the Scarborough match. They were non-league at the time.
Jan 81. 2.2 vs Man Utd in the 3rd round. Watching Grandstand and Trying fo find out the score. Likely had Rugby League on live. That was before we had The luxury of Ceefax!

Wasn't that the one with a woman in the chicken run constantly ringing a bell?
.
My earliest Cup memories are
WBA away - League Cup I think - we won
Ipswich at home - no idea which cup - I think we won
Derby Home and away - again no idea - we lost in the replay away
Forest away - no idea which cup - we lost
Those games could cover a number of years but they are the only ones I remember as being early in my Albion supporting days
14,000 for the 0-0,
