Hmmm odd move isnt it. I mean I know they're in relegation trouble but what could any manager do considering how little they spend on their squad and the teams above them like Everton and Newcastle spend so much.

Insane.

Proven to be able to get you out the champ and the job he’s done at Burnley is incredible.

Best English manager by a mile.

I can see them in the Championship for a while

Not sure who'll take over but I think that nails on their relegation.

On his way to Watford again, must be time for another change surely?

I am quite shocked by this though, seems a bit mad to me

A very strange action towards one of the longest serving managers.

They've gone down with him before and he's taken them straight back up.

He'd have been the perfect person to do so again.

They've named pubs after him.

For someone who's taken Burnley both up and into Europe, it smacks of complete panic.

That's pretty poor from Burnley. He's been great for them, what more could they have asked from a manager. Despite his ranting and raving, and the awful Burnley playing style - I've always liked him. There's no side to him is there - he's pretty open in what he says and thinks, you'd know you were with him.

And they're not even down yet.

Anyone else noted how he picks his nose in the side lines, before wiping his hands over his head and spreading it everywhere.

Ridiculous. What do they expect on their budget? The guy's worked miracles. Maybe they want to rebrand and start playing an expansive passing game. Watch out GP they'll be after you!

Seriously, though. Elite football is a shitshow.

Was he not racist enough for Burnley...?

Absolutely better than Potter at the moment.

Keeping Burnley up with the budget and getting them into Europe is impressive.

He's done an outstanding job, no doubt, and is certainly in the conversation for best English manager. Not sure he's the best "by a mile" though.

The owners are seeing their premier league status hanging by a thread and are taking a massive gamble in sacking him, but at the same time are throwing away so much. Dyche would be their best chance of coming back up and knows how to work with the budget they have. Who exactly is going to come in and do a better job? Long term it could **** them as most other managers will now want the owners to spend more money on transfers/wages.
