mayeb he should talk to Powell or Hasselbaink about how to go about getting a job, you know by putting in the real graft.

I think it's ridiculous how ex-players expect to be given Premier League Manager contracts.

It's like George Lucas' lead cameraman expecting to direct the next Star Wars blockbuster.
No, but you're already in the door, start off with something smaller and build your way up.
Although the lead cameraman might have decided Jar-Jar wasn't a good idea.

The arrogance of people like Giggs (having just seen his old mate Red Nev mess up royally at Valencia) is astounding. He was favourite to get the Swansea job because the punters had heard of him and assumed that, because he played for Wales, then 2+2=4. .

bit unfair on Giggs, he cant help it if bookies offer odds and people put money on him. has he complained he should have got the job?

Has he taken his coaching badges ? If not that is the reason

"he would like to take his first steps into management, and has completed all of his coaching badges to open the door to a move into the dug-out."

Do keep up!

The guy is lacking in any charisma and is a dick, imo, after failing to get the job said that Swansea couldn't match his ambitions and he didn't want the job anyway.

Then go ply your trade in non league like everyone else.

Why should he get special treatment because he played football. He said himself no experience.

This entirely . why not put some graft into a non league club , use his connections , make a go of it and then see where he is at , rather than think the world owes him a living

What's his excuse for not being a father to his son?

I'm a bit surprised that this is mentioned more often. When Giggs was being spoken about as Swansea manager, there were plenty of comments about his personal life and how this made him less suitable as a candidate. Yorke's behaviour towards his son is far more reprehensible and yet that's not commented on. Very strange

What a cockwomble. There's probably a few non league clubs, or even a league 2 club that would give him a chance but he more than likely sees himself as above them and wants a big job like Villa off the bat. Nah. Then blames racism? Get out.

If he actually expected to get a look in for the Villa job then he is a fool

What he misses too is that we, the great British football supporter, know he's not up to the Villa job. And if we know that you can be sure the Villa Board do too despite some comedy appointments in recent years such as Matteo, Sherwood and Dr Death or whatever his name was.
