half the team are second eleven players so didnt expect much.just staying up in div 1 is success this season.and 2 semi finals.over achieved really.need to strenghthen middle order as a priority next season.

Isn't this what we were all saying last year, yet only 9 points from second. I would imagine we will bring in a batsman and even a batsman/captain. Robbo will have a busy winter

Think you maybe right about the batsman/captain, can't see us bringing in a new keeper though - we'll muddle through with Brown and Prior until Callum Jackson is ready for it.

Downhill since we lost the T20 semis.

Edit: Mind you, I bet it's not easy batting up there today.

I imagine Goodwin's was on some decent money and our T20 overseas players too. We'd be better spending it all on a proven player who'll can play in all three formats and won't get called up internationally.

A bit like Albions dream striker, everyones chasing them, not many around and we are down the pecking order..

I'd agree with this. At the beginning of the season all the papers had us down to finish 7-9 and as it stands we were the last team challenging Warwickshire. The last two or three weeks have been disapointing, but it's still a very good season

Once again the complete lack of batting coach is being exposed. Too many players go after balls that should be left alone and permanently seem to be in one day mode.

I suspect they will stick with Brown. He needs a winter working with Bruce French, followed by some grade cricket on the hard wickets down under. His keeping has improved, it could not get any worse in fairness.

Remember that next season Maggofin is not classed as an overseas player, so in theory they can bring in an overseas batsman, with New Zealand and Australia over here, maybe a Saffer, maybe Amla?

Also maybe the return of a double barrelled name at number 4.

Was down at Taunton and we were so close to beating Somerset, since then (bar Canturbury) we have looked like a team dreaming of sunny holiday breaks. Still you never know this wicket may equal it all out....

It's been one of those seasons where we've almost been good enough to win things but just haven't had that ruthlessness to go through with it. A couple of decent signings over the winter and I think we'll be challenging next season.

Coupled with a batting coach.

Also some tough decisions on players such as Gatting and Arif and also Yardy.

Gatting has not had it easy UB. He always seems to have to sacrifice his wicket.

Yardy does need to make a decsion himself - maybe just concentrate on the one-dayers.

Gatting, I suspect, is not mentally tough enough.

He seems to be able to get out in more and more stupid ways.

I do hope he makes it, when he is correct, he is worth watching.

Not in the slightest, but if you look at who might be unsettled and need a move, you just never know.

Pure speculation, but cricket is often easier to call than football on these matters.

I also hope that we are in for James Harris.

Makes sense but I do worry that our cheque book is locked away.
