Pleased about Tunnicliffe and Dicker, two good signings. Where did you hear about Le fondre? He would be another really good signing, have wanted him here all season.

A friend of mine works in the same office as the Albion, at Tower Point. He claims to have asked Slade himself if he is interested in Le Fondre, and allegedly, Slade smiled and patted his nose.

HseagullsH, I will NOT get over Hinshelwood. I want to know how much we've paid for this Tunnicliffe, so I can be even more pissed off!
Seriously though, I'm glad we're investing in young players with big futures. Tunnicliffe must have something about him, and I look forward to seeing how he fits into the dugout at the Withdean.

Interesting, my old man used to work in tower point and his parking space was next to Dick Knight, but he would never give anything away. Le fondre would be a good signing, but would be interesting if we did get him as it would be a fee similar to Murray i would guess. Cant see him and Davies wanting to be second/third choice, perhaps someone has shown an interest in Murray?

Dick Knight is a different kettle of fish though, Slade has a personality.

I would expect interest in Murray, but I would hope not! Hopefully noone bids and he's forced to stay here. I love the man, why should we let him go? Let his missus move back up North, and have him concentrate on his career down here for a while... Selfish yes, but come on. It'll certainly help his groin stay in working condition (for football purposes).

I would love us to sign Le Fondre, give us something a bit different. AND he used to play for Stockport, surely we have to keep that theme going??

Would be interesting if he came and Murray stayed, surely they played quite a bit together up at Rochdale. I think Stockport fans are keen on him leaving dale, as on their board they think they have something like a 25% sell on clause.

Great news. The question is will Tunnicliffe go straight in when Virgs performed well during the last 8 or so games ??

Furthermore, signing Dicker and Tunnicliffe will be good for Jim Mcnulty....both old budies.

Very happy with these signings.

The most pleasing thing for me is that they are both so young and it feels like we are building a team for the future and not just for the now.

Ditto - What is annoying wasn't we going that route under Wilkins.

Things are starting to sound promising all over again thou.:clap2:

Don't know enough about Tunnicliffe to comment, but sounds OK - Young for starters - I wonder what we will get for Lynch - he's as good as gone now.

At 6ft 5in with a long throw, he has the makings of a hero.

Great news about both of these signings, hopefully the Le Fondre rumour is true, him and Forster would be a great partnership :ascarf:

why is he as good as gone? Slade is building a squad just because we sign a player in a certain position don't mean someone else has to go. Lynch will only go if we get a good enough deal
