Strange he wasn't mentioned with the other two then.

I thought maybe The Athletic had got hold of the entire list somehow but this indicates they didn't. Presumably The Evening Standard didn't either, so Solly could be in the list somewhere.

Southgate is going to get the old band back together: White, Dunk & Webster in a back 3
With Burn and March as wing backs...

While it's great that they're on the list it's quite difficult to actually name 55 English players so it feels a bit more like a massive kick in the teeth for anyone not on it rather than a well done to those that are.

There's zero logic in taking Wilson just for that (ahead of Toney). Toney is comfortably the best penalty taker available to England right now - even over Kane.
Agree. I was only saying this justification as some seem to think he is good enough personally don't think he is good enough or fit enough.

Big chat about this on 5live Monday night football and Michah Richards I thought was spot on. With the squads expanded to 26 why doesn't he take the extra striker. Rather than more defenders.

HK is def, probably Rashford too but on form why not take both Wilson and Toney. Both got good pens in them, both offer something different, why not an extra attacker for the reasons you highlight? Sterling is in shite form too.

From about 27mins. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m001dql5
I was on the 3,219,668 shortlist and I felt quite excited about my prospects. They only whittled down the number by 2000 or so a week so I was disappointed to lose my place in Qatar in 1987.
I’ve just recently announced my retirement from International football so I didn’t understandably get put on the list.

White needs to be next to someone who is commanding in the air otherwise he's an easy target. Great in the right set-up though.
Yes, the right set up, i.e. on the right of a three!

Coady and Tarkpwski would be as good as anybody alongside (Dunk is of course ineligible while waistcoat is in charge, and Maguire's a lump - Coady and Tarkowski - just the job!)

Does this 55 player list actually exist IRL in a form that can be pasted anywhere and everywhere? Just seems to be all smoke and mirrors and much nonsense

In theory yes because they get submitted to FIFA. But it’s new concept I think so not sure if it’ll be published until they whittle it down a bit more.

The FAs themselves can choose whether or not to publish the 55. The Netherlands for example, published theirs, we didn't. We'll probably only know the 26, which is released next Thursday.

How soon is now?
Chilwell likely out of the squad now. That leaves Shaw for left/wing back and Trippier for right/wing back. We're running out of options. TAA will probably get in as back up wb but wouldn't it be nice if there was an Englishman capable of playing both left and right wing back?

Any one got any ideas?
Raheem Sterling?

Tony Cascerino on TalkSport the other day said he didn’t know why Dunk has never had a proper shot with England.
