Welbeck a stange one. Probably shows the lack of depth we have up front for England.

Pleased for Dunk , will be cut though wont he.

Webster isnt anywhere near it. He's not been great this season yet

Kane, Rashford, Toney, Abraham, Wilson, Calvert Lewin and Watkins all ahead of him presumably.

Would love Dunky to get to go to a WC - he deserves it!

What is the point of a 55 man list? Am I on it?
Every team had to provide a list of 35-55 players to FIFA about two weeks (or something) ago. Practical reasons... granting visas, informing clubs that their players might be going, make the marketing team gather photos and data of these players to publish once the squads are finalised etc.

Unlike Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw, TAA and so forth...

As they should be.

The idea that Webster & March are not among the 55 best English players currently is just silly though.
This. March has just taken the most expensive full back ever to the CLEANERS and he's been consistently good all season at the highest level. Webster is good on his day, surely all you need to make the long list.

You don’t need to be in the PL to be in the England squad, of course…
True - not sure I could list that many off the top of my head though! - at least in recent history … Bull, Zaha (was that just for friendlies though?), Johnstone?

In the last 20 years, there's been just 5.

2003 David James (West Ham)
2007 David Nugent (Preston)
2010 Jay Bothroyd (Cardiff)
2012 Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace)
2021 Sam Johnstone (West Brom)
