Be interesting if he has a good game. We could be hounded with clubs wanting him in January!

Certainly if I was his agent, I would be on the phone to every club in Europe.

This could be a double edged sword, although Balogan would be a decent replacement.

Why would one friendly v a pub league team (everywhere else is pub league - right?) change anything?

Not playing in the Premier League would have counted against him.
His own goals would have counted against him.
His lack of goals would have counted against him.
His love of the colour yellow would have counted against him.
Being a second rate Alfie Mawson would have counted against him.

One game v the US isn't going to have 'top 6' sides hounding the Albion for his signature.

You're right Utd aren't a top 6 side anymore

For those that have Sky / Virgin / BT, but like me do NOT have the Sky Sports package, I am told that Sky are kindly putting this game on Sky One.

Brighton factually.....
Fantastic News, can't wait, gonna let the little one stay up and watch....

Me on one side of the lounge draped in my BHA St George
&
The wife on the other side of the lounge draped in her BHA Stars & Stripes

Both enticing the little one to sit with us.....

Who will prevail....

You won't be feeling proud if he gets clunked by one of the USA players in a pointless, meaningless friendly and is out for 3 months

Nobody wants him to get injured, but we can all be proud of his cap and status. Strange comment.

I, for one, will have a lump in my throat seeing him play for England, great guy.

Don't think I've ever looked forwards to hearing the national anthem before.

(Would be different if it was 'I vow to thee my country)

On the positive side, this is an incredible landmark for Lewis, I bet he can't stop smiling.

The result of years of working his socks off, allied to natural talent.

Fantastic news. Almost up there with the time we signed Jason Peake.

LD is going to experience severe culture shock, what with probably not having to throw his body desperately in front of the ball every other minute

Good luck to the boy
