Halford was aysmally woeful against Reading, but as rightback.

I hope Hughton doesn't try that again just so they both play.

Halfords attitude has been spot on since he had been here. He exudes calm in the team and rarely seems to put a foot wrong. Why are we not debating who should start the next game alongside him?!?!

Agree with this - should be Halford and Dunk. Halford gave another good performance today, again demonstrating his experience And (comparative) calmness. Apart from CH stitching him up by playing him as right back the other week, Halford has been impressive. He has shown his versatility when coming on both up front at Norwich and left-side-somewhere at Brentford.

I do think he can possibly feel hard done by not to have played more football in recent months. Of our centre-halves (discounting Hughes here as we've simply seen so little of him), Halford seems best at the no-nonsense head it, clear it type defending - whereas Greer and Dunk can often make more of a meal of the simpler defensive tasks.
