Padborg, Denmark. It was just a Youth Hostel in the middle of a round-a-bout. Nothing around. The woman behind the food counter in the garage wouldn't sell me this football (it was in a glass cabinet, so maybe it had some value of some kind) for ANY price.

Agree with all - except the sweeping condemnation of IOW - there are some truly stunning locations on the Isle - true, one or two chavvy towns, but some beautiful scapes.

Woking. Despite the leafy suburban reputation the town centre is a lifeless hole with more than its fair share of unsavouries. The outskirts also boast the accolade of Europe's biggest housing estate (Goldsworth Park), a benign sprawl of 70s/80s urbanisation. Best avoided if possible.

Yep, almost got knifed in Ryde while trying to find a footy friendly pub - my fault - wearing colors around predominantly Saints, Pompey turf. I ran away.
