I think Meghan’s bad press comes from her being the stereotypical controlling woman. Our instincts tell us that the man should wear the trousers and no matter how much the feminists decrying this, if he doesn’t then it doesn’t sit right with us. We end up disliking her and being contemptuous of him.

There’s definitely the perceived strong female element to it.

I have no time for both political extremities, where it’s rabid and/or aggressive and/or ridiculously one-eyed. Neither side has the moral high ground, no matter their arrogant take on everything. More similarities with each other than they’d like to acknowledge.

As people I wish them well, but there are two things that need sorting:

1. It is ridiculous that he can opt out of the Royal Family, AND the Queen take away his patronages AND YET he still remains 6th in line to the throne.

Parliament needs to act to take him out of the succession - they would only be doing what the Queen would do if she had the power to do it.

2. I want their titles revoked. What right have they to trade off being Duke and Duchess of Sussex when they've done f*ck all for the county? Sussex is our brand, not theirs, and I for one want it back.

Bossy women and henpecked men are comedy tropes for a reason. People laugh at them. It’s doesn’t take huge levels of psychological perception to recognise that.

Hasn’t ever had to live in the real world of earning money to pay his mortgage and support his family though has he ? He is certainly not alone in that but he and his wife seem to get a free pass. Odd. I’m sure the royal family pay their way in terms of revenue generation but I just draw the line at giving any of them any sympathy for their ‘tough’ lives.
