I still think Duffy will be here next season, simply for the fact I’m not sure who would sign him currently for what we’d want. I think he’s too limited for a lot of Prem clubs & I reckon we’d want 25-30m for him which will put a lot of clubs off.
Realistically the top 6 along with Bournemouth, Leicester & Wolves wouldn’t touch him. I can’t see Norwich, Watford, Palace, Burnley or Sheffield United forking out for him; neither would Newcastle unless they finally get taken over. Leaves Villa (who signed 3 or 4 CB’s in the summer), Everton, West Ham & Saints. There’s a few teams who might look at him if they’re promoted but even then I couldn’t see Preston or Swansea making a move for someone like Duffy.

Take Man City away out and we've conceded 8 in 9 games. Southampton conceded more than that in one game!
In two of those 8 we played for a hour with 10 men. Just 2 teams have kept more clean sheets than us.

Absolutely no chance we sell to a relegation rival at that price and Newcastle are okay for defenders anyway.
This is why I think Duffy might be stuck here for a while even if he’s not in Potters plans. Very few teams who aren’t a relegation rival are going to want to sign a player who looks ropey with the ball at his feet. He’s one of the best defenders we’ve ever had, but he’s incredibly limited technically IMO.
I can’t see him going abroad, I can’t see many Prem clubs paying what we’d want & he’s way too good to drop down a level. He only leaves if Everton or West Ham come in for him or if West Brom or similar come up (or if he kicks up a fuss and goes on strike)
